How to Connect to the FTP Server FAQ by Ninja Spirit on Sat Mar 29, 2008

It has come to my attention that comcast is sniffing packets in my complex and that they are taking "snapshots" of traffic going in and out of my IP periodically, this means they can see everything. So effective immediately I'm encrypting traffic to the FTP. Implicit SSL will hide everything from logon, files being downloaded to logging off. I recommend using FlashFXP and enabling AUTH SSL, once thats turned on my FTP will allow you to logon.

TURN ON YOUR FTP CLIENTS SSL feature and if it can't do it, get another FTP client that does like FlashFXP in site manager click on devilsrage login details, click on SSL tab and pick AUTH SSL, make sure to connect to port 6969 How to setup FlashFXP for SSL

How to Setup FlashFXP to logon to my FTP:
1. Install flashFXP
2. launch flashFXP and hit F4 to open site manager
3. click on New site
4. enter Devils Rage FTP
5. now from your email I sent you, copy and paste your logon details right into the IP address field ie ftp://username:password@ftp.devilsrage.com:6969
6. click on SSL tab and pick AUTH SSL
7. click on options tab
8. make sure to checkmark Use Passive mode (try also non passive mode) see which works better
9. make sure to remove checkmark for Cache Directories
10. apply to save info 8. click on connect 9. notice a certificate will appear, click accept and save on the menu bar, click on Options, File exists Rule and set to autoresume on downloading. This way if you get disconnected, FlashFXP will reconnect automatically and resume downloading for you, but you must set this file rule to Autoresume you can now leech away in complete privacy.

If you must upload there are rules. Read the rules file in the Upload folder. All files must be Zipped and inside a Folder.

You can download FlashFXP from here http://www.flashfxp.com/download.php and a program to unzip files, winrar http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

I also highly recommend getting Virtual Clonedrive at http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html, this lets you mount ISO files rather than burning to disc.
